Frequently asked questions
How do I convert cups to grams?
Select cups as the starting unit, grams as the result and choose your ingredient. The calculator multiplies the cup volume by the ingredient’s estimated density. Changing the ingredient or cup system changes the result.
Can I convert grams back to cups?
Yes. Use Swap units or select grams as the starting unit and cups as the result. Keep the ingredient and the cup system the same for the reverse conversion.
Are US and Australian tablespoons the same?
No. This calculator uses about 15 ml for a US tablespoon and 20 ml for an Australian tablespoon. Choose the recipe measurement system before converting.
Can CookBook convert measurements in my saved recipes?
CookBook includes recipe measurement conversion and serving adjustments, so you can work with your saved recipes in the app.
