We're Ralph and Sammy, co-founders of CookBook Co. We build recipe technology on Australia's Sunshine Coast and use CookBook in our own kitchen every day.

Ralph co-founded CookBook Co. and brings more than a decade of software engineering experience across mobile apps, cloud systems, APIs and AI. In the kitchen, he combines ideas from different recipes and uses Ask CookBook to adapt dishes for the people around his table.

Sammy co-founded CookBook Co. and brings together product management, design, business planning and customer support. She likes complete recipe instructions and step-by-step photos, and uses her own cooking routines to help make CookBook clear and welcoming.
Read profileRalph likes to take a sauce from one recipe, an idea from another and make something his own. Ask CookBook helps him adjust the spice or adapt a dish for the people joining us for dinner. Sammy wants every step, timing and photo in place, so she can return to a recipe knowing exactly what to do.
We save ideas from social media, try new dishes and keep our own recipes in CookBook. Our families use it too. The questions we ask while cooking, from remembering an adjustment to keeping complete instructions, help shape the app we build.
CookBook is built and operated by CookBook Co. Pty Ltd. Ralph brings more than a decade of software engineering across mobile apps, cloud systems, APIs and AI workflows. Sammy brings product management, design, business planning and customer support. Together, we connect the technical work behind a recipe app with the everyday experience of cooking from it.
Our wider work includes the FoodByMaria app partnership, AppScreens and software consultancy through Salty Bytes. That experience informs how we design, build and support CookBook for home cooks.

A little more help
Your saved CookBook collection is private by default. Other users cannot browse it. If you share a recipe, its recipient can see that copy; anyone signed in to your account can access your collection. Your recipes also sync through CookBook's cloud services.
